England progress to Euro 2020 final
Harry Kane’s 104th-minute goal is the difference as England advance to their first-ever European Championship final.
Denmark ‘keeper Kasper Schmeichel saved the Three Lions’ skipper’s penalty after Raheem Sterling was brought down in the box by Mathias Jensen, but Kane converted the rebound, an effort that proved to be the difference at Wembley.
United pair Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw played the full 120 minutes and helped Gareth Southgate’s side to see out the lead after the goal, ensuring England’s place in the final against Italy on Sunday (20:00 BST). Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford were unused substitutes in the victory.
